THE MIXING PRINCIPLE

Movement with a purpose.

A controlled pilot cycle

Program speed, mixing time and direction through the HMI / PLC to develop and refine the blend.

Low-shear 3D movement

The sealed container tumbles and inverts without internal blades, redistributing powders, granules, liquids or suspensions.

A practical next scale

A self-supporting base and removable container connect R&D trials to pilot and small-production batches. Discuss powder-coated carbon steel or stainless steel construction.

CONTAIN THE BLEND

One mixer.
Different batch sizes.

Interchangeable holders and adapter inserts let compatible smaller containers sit securely inside the main cradle. Discuss the vessel sizes, materials and surface finishes suited to your batch, cleaning requirements and handling method.

Dedicated containers help reduce cross-contamination and simplify product changeovers. Confirm the holder, maximum dimensions and working fill for this model.

CONFIGURE FOR THE APPLICATION

The details matter.

Stainless steel & sanitary configurations

Discuss stainless steel GMP-oriented construction, polished or electropolished containers and a removable tray below the drum. Front guarding and an interlock stop the machine when the guard opens. Confirm the exact features of your quoted configuration.

Controls & documentation requirements

Discuss HMI / PLC control options and any 21 CFR Part 11 requirements with the team. Configuration and documentation must be assessed for your process.

Glovebox integration

Custom arrangements can place the mixing arms, holder and sealed container inside a glovebox for controlled-atmosphere work. Discuss oxygen, moisture, containment and material-handling requirements.

OPTIONAL LIQUID DOSING SYSTEM

Add liquids.
Keep the blend moving.

Add liquid ingredients to Alphie 20 during the blending cycle. Rather than introducing the full liquid volume at the start, the optional system can deliver staged additions while the container continues its 3D inversion motion.

  1. Set the amount.

Adjust dosing quantities around the formulation and target liquid content.

  2. Choose the timing.

Introduce liquids at controlled intervals, with variable timing to suit the process.

  3. Distribute through the blend.

Gradual addition can help reduce localized overwetting and clumping as the material moves.

Application possibilitiesPowder wetting · Particle coating · Binder addition · Solvent addition · Moisture control

Specify the liquid, viscosity, total addition, dosing sequence and powder batch. Confirm compatibility, connections and operating conditions through an application review and material trials.
