RETSCH / MAXIMUM FEED & THROUGHPUT

BB 600.
Larger pieces. Higher throughput.

The highest-throughput model in this six-crusher selection. Accept feed below 350 × 170 mm and discuss throughput up to 3,500 kg/h, with final fineness below 6 mm under suitable conditions.

THE MODEL IN FOCUS

Largest feed and highest throughput.

Handle the largest feed in this range

A feed specification below 350 × 170 mm supports demanding coarse and pre-crushing workflows.

Plan for continuous work

Published throughput reaches up to 3,500 kg/h. A 30 L collector supports batch operation, while an optional process-line version suits automatic installations and sampling stations.

Set the discharge to the task

The gap is configured from 6–60 mm using spacer plates. Review the required product size, feed behavior, jaw material and installation with the team.

*Feed size, final fineness and throughput depend on the material, jaw selection, gap setting and configuration. Published capacities are not simultaneous performance guarantees.

PUBLISHED MODEL DATA

The technical
picture.

BB 600 uses pressure for coarse and pre-crushing of medium-hard, hard, brittle and tough materials.

Feed size, final fineness and throughput depend on the material, jaw selection, gap setting and configuration. Published capacities are not simultaneous performance guarantees. Confirm current electrical and configuration requirements before ordering.

JAW MATERIALS & CONFIGURATION

The details shape
the result.

Match wear materials and the complete crushing route to the sample and the analysis.

Breaking jaws & wear plates

Published tool-material options for BB 600: manganese steel, steel for heavy-metal free grinding, NiHard4. Confirm the exact combination and wear contribution for your material; a named heavy-metal-free grade does not eliminate every possible source of sample contamination.

Batch collection & process-line versions

Use the 30 L collector for batch preparation or discuss an optional process-line version for continuous operation. Feeding, collection, protection and electrical requirements depend on the installation.

Installation & dust management

Review feed handling, discharge and automatic sampling-station integration. The published BB 600 specification does not include a dust extraction unit; agree on an application-specific dust-control arrangement.

PRESSURE. MOVEMENT. CONTROL.

Start with the feed.
Control the gap.

Material enters through the hopper into a wedge-shaped chamber. One jaw is fixed while the other moves, applying pressure to reduce the sample. Particles pass to the collector when small enough to move through the discharge gap.

Watch the jaw-crushing principle

RETSCH animation illustrates the principle using the BB 100.

01

Match the feed.

Check maximum dimensions, hardness, brittleness and the material’s breaking behavior.

02

Set the reduction.

Choose a model, jaw material and gap suited to the required result.

03

Validate the output.

Assess the size distribution, recovery, wear and throughput with representative material.
